Lewisburg/Roanoke Office Equipment History
Lewisburg Office Equipment was started as Lewisburg Cash Register by Flem
S. Browning,
R.E. Lucas and J.P. Bott in October, 1979. It was started in Mr. Browning's basement,
primarily as a sales and service company for cash registers, banking equipment
and full
keyboard adding machines. The company bought it's present location in the early
1980's
and more than doubled the size of the building in the late 1980's. Expanding
the operation
to include office supplies and a full line of office machines such as copiers,
facsimilies, printers,
computers, folders, shredders and typewriters.
David B. Wigglesworth bought the shares owned by Mr. Lucas and Mr. Bott
in April 1984.
David and Pam Wigglesworth bought Mr. Browning's share of the business in December
1999
and are operating it as Lewisburg Office Equipment. Lewisburg office equipment
provides sales,
service and supplies for equipment to all of southeastern West Virginia. In 2001
Lewisburg Office
expanded it's operation into the Roanoke Valley and surrounding areas by opening
Roanoke
Office Equipment.
Partners
We began selling Sharp copiers in 1981, and became an authorized Sharp dealer
in 1985. Since
becoming an authorized dealer we have made Sharp's "platinum dealer" status,
Sharp's highest
dealer ranking. |
